I've been collecting American comics since the early 80's and buying & selling since the mid-90's. As a reader / collector first and a trader second I'm not a professional grader by any means but someone who enjoys the comics and who wants the people who buy from me to enjoy them too. As a rough guide I grade my comics based on the following: Mint - it's highly unlikely that you'll ever see one of the comics I'm selling as mint as I don't grab them straight from the presses. NM (Near Mint) - Excellent condition, either unread or perhaps read carefully once and stored correctly ever since. VFN (Very Fine) - Comics in a similar condition to those you can buy in a comic shop. FN (Fine) - A comic that has been looked after but shows some signs of minor wear. VG (Very Good) - A comic that has obviously been read and may have the odd minor fault eg small creases or (for older comics) very small tears, marks etc G (Good) - A comic that is complete but has a lot of creases, chips etc Reader - A comic that is complete and can be read but isn't one you'd buy to put on display or in pride of place in your collection. I only generally sell readers if the comic is of particular importance / interest. If a comic does have any particular faults I try to include them on the photos. The photo's are always of the comic you're bidding on (unless you get a second chance offer when it may be for a different copy). As a reader I generally sell older comics so I can a) afford to buy new ones & b) to make space to store new ones (& then sometimes regret selling the classics and then rebuy them). Each year I tend to start again by selling my oldest through to the newest so if you're a collector of a particular era I can make you very happy but if you're trying to fill in the gaps of a long run I can be very frustrating. If there's a particular comic you're after drop me a line and if I've got it I may be able to list it a bit sooner (I keep most of my comics in storage so it's not always possible) All of my individual comic auctions start at 99p to give everyone a chance and I don't close listings early or switch them to buy it now. Sets of comics & books start at a higher price but I usually add in free postage to these. Postage rates:1st comic £1.20 each additional comic 20p up to a maximum of £8.50

Please note: When buying 'Buy it Now' items E-bay will ask you to pay immediately, if buying more than 1 item please use the 'add to cart' option so you can pay for everything in one go & automatically qualify for postage discounts (where they apply). E-bay should calculate the discount for you but if in doubt drop me a message and I'll send an invoice. Comics will be posted bagged & boarded and in a padded envelope or boxed if you buy a lot. To keep costs down they will be sent via 2nd class post.Items usually dispatched within 5 working days of payment but please allow up to 10. (I aim to get to the post office at least once a week but with 3 young children this can sometimes be tricky) Apologies to foreign bidders but I post to UK addresses only.  Multiple comics will be posted sharing bags and boards. Please pay within 5 days of winning an item unless arranged as no-one likes to have to call the e-bay police, thanks Good luck with your bids & thanks for browsing.
