Antique Tiffany Sterling Silver Smoking Set with Lighter & Ashtrays

Edwardian sterling silver smoking set. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca. 1916. This set comprises 1 tray, 4 ashtrays, and 1 lighter.

Tray has 4 plain wells: 2 rectangles for cigars and cigarettes, 1 square for matches, and 1 circle for lighter. Cigar lighter is squat and curved with high scroll handles at sides and hinged and tubular cover. Ashtrays are rectangular with concave rest and well. All pieces decorated with dense acid-etched rinceaux. A beautiful set from the days when a thoughtful host supplied tobacco.

Hallmarks include pattern nos. 19048B (tray and lighter) and 19099C (ashtrays), which were first produced in 1916 as well as director s letter m (1907-47). Very good condition.

Dimensions: Tray: H 1/2 x W 13 5/8 x D 8 3/4 in. Cigar lighter: H 3 x W 4 1/8 x D 3 3/8 in. Ashtrays: H 3/8 x W 3 5/8 x D 3 1/4 in.
