Titchmarsh & Goodwin Georgian Style Solid Oak 3 Door Dresser Base / Sideboard

This excellent quality Georgian influenced sideboard / dresser base was made by Titchmarsh & Goodwin who are arguably one of the finest period style furniture makers to date .

Established in 1920, Titchmarsh & Goodwin of Ipswich use only the finest British grown timber for their oak furniture, and this is evident throughout the sideboard as it's made entirely from solid oak, therefore it's a very substantial piece.

The fairly prominent intentionally distressed finish really does heighten it's period look, and the solid oak plank back and cupboard floor are an added sign of quality.

The top provides a conveniently sized area of surface space, and the 3 dovetailed drawers are fitted with antique finished pierced brass handles.

The 3 nicely presented raised and fielded inset panelled doors are fitted with antique finished brass H pattern hinges and turned oak knobs, and the full width cupboard is fitted with a single shelf.

It's not fitted with a Titchmarsh and Goodwin name plate which is a common occurrence as not all items of T & G furniture are, especially if they were made pre 2000 which this dresser was.  

To correctly identify a genuine piece of T & G furniture we   check on the official T & G website where this model is still available to buy brand new. We also  refer to a 2001 T & G catalogue which we have.   Both search methods enable us to quote the correct model number which in this case is  RL19855/C. 

The 2001 catalogue price was £2,450.  To order the item brand new today the price will be in the region of £2,950, therefore this listing provides a great opportunity to purchase an excellent quality piece of furniture for a much more affordable price.

Condition

The condition is very good, and any minor marks of use are difficult to differentiate from the intentionally distressed finish which includes deliberately stained drawer bottoms. There are some small filled in screw holes in the top where a no longer present dresser rack was attached, and there is also a darker shaded area in the top where the rack was positioned.

The height measures 33 inches.

The width measures 54 1/2 inches.

The depth measures 17 3/4 inches.

We deliver to most central / non coastal parts of England for approximately £45 to £65, however we advise that you request a quote for delivery before making an offer or buy it now purchase so that you're made fully aware of the exact delivery cost beforehand as locations further afield will be more expensive and locations nearer to our Liverpool base will be cheaper. Also if we have a pending delivery in your area we may be able to offer a discounted delivery rate.

We carry out all deliveries in person with the exception of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland, some parts of West Wales, and some parts of Devon and Cornwall.

Each item of furniture that we personally deliver is fully insured.

We usually contact customers 2 / 3 days prior to delivery, and we're usually able to provide an accurate 1 hour delivery time slot. We do not deliver at weekends, however early morning or late evening deliveries can sometimes be mutually arranged.

Due to size / weight limitations and  the risk of damage, we do not send large or fragile items of furniture by parcel courier, neither do we  allow an item of furniture to be collected on a customer's behalf by a parcel courier. We will only permit collection to be carried out in person by a customer or by a professional furniture carrier.  Collection is by appointment only as we run an unmanned warehouse.

Invoice & Payment Details

After a buy it now or accepted make offer purchase has been made we will send the buyer an ebay generated invoice via email which will include the additional delivery fee and all of the relevant payment and contact details.

We require payment in full within 2 days of purchase, preferably immediately after a purchase has been made, and if payment has not been received within 48 hours  we will initiate an ebay unpaid item notice.

Payment can be made by PayPal, credit card, debit card, or bank transfer. Card payments are securely made over the phone via our own terminal.
