Tomato Tumbling Tom Red 'Lycopersicon esculentum' Determinate type Description A Bush type of Tomato that is ideal for pots / containers/ baskets that produces a profusion of small sweat flavoured fruits. Cultivation Sow the seeds from March - May in a good quality seed compost and cover lightly (appx 2 - 3 mm) with vermiculite or compost. Keep the compost moist but not water logged. Germination will take between 1 - 2 weeks at minimum 16 Deg C Once the seedlings are large enough to handle Carefully prick them out and re pot into 3" pots. These can be grown on until late may June and then planted either outside once all risk of frost has gone or kept in a cool greenhouse. Care of your plants - Check for signs of Blight on the tomato plants - if you see any the plants should be destroyed and disposed of - do not put them on your compost. A fortnightly feed with a tomato based fertiliser will encourage better cropping. Pruning - No real pruning is necessary for this variety although the removal of some lower leaves and the final growing tips once the plant has set 4 or more trusses can lead to better crops. This is not really necessary making these an easy variety to grow. Notes Packaging All our seeds are carefully packaged in re-sealable clear packages and are fully labeled with Sow by Date and Date of packaging. Seeds are then posted in Airlite padded envelopes to protect the seeds from possible damage in transit. Shipment - All our seeds are carefully packaged and despatched within 24 hrs of receiving your order and final payment. Our standard postage is for delivery royal mail 2nd class and the goods should reach you within 3 - 5 working days. We also offer a faster postage service at a very modest increase in cost with Royal Mail 1st class. Goods sent 1st class should reach you within 1 - 2 working days

Germination - IMPORTANT Although every effort is taken to ensure the quality of our seeds, packaging and delivery method it should be noted that the germination of seeds is very dependant on many factors including Light, Moisture levels, Temperature, Soil conditions, soil pests, and many other factors. Please ensure that the seeds you order are suitable for the conditions in which you wish to grow them as we cannot be held responsible for poor levels of germination.
