Vauxhall Opel C20LET C20XE Redtop Individual Throttle Body Turbo Inlet Manifold Handmade in the UK by Retropower

Individual throttle body inlet manifold & plenum for forced induction applications on Vauxhall/Opel C20XE/C20LET engine.

The ultimate inlet setup for a turbo 'Redtop' build, our inlet system bolts directly to the head and features integral individual throttle butterflies, injector pockets & fuel rails.

The plenum back plate is CNC machined to incorporate integral 'bell-mouths' and the individual throttle body setup gives minimal interruption to the air flow during open throttle and optimum angle of flow into the ports.  The back-shell of the plenum is angled to leave the top horizontal on a standard 7-degree installation, maximising bonnet clearance. The inlet pipe is angled to suit many rear-wheel-drive installations, although we can make custom plenum chambers with different angles to order.

The manifold comes with fuel rails, gasket and nuts. As standard the fuel rails supplied will be -6 threaded fittings as per the photos although we can do 8mm push-on fittings if you prefer. We can supply injectors to suit from 300cc-1500cc.  At a small extra cost we can also drill the throttle bodies for an 8 injector setup.  The inlet spigot is 3" OD with a machined barb to grip the inlet hose firmly.

The back plate has two drillings which can be tapped for air temp sensor and/or wastegate feed. We will tap these to your spec, or they can be left as plain drillings. The throttle bodies have a link-pipe arrangement after the butterflies for manifold pressure feed... ie. Servo, MAP sensor, fuel pressure regulator, dump valve etc. We supply the manifold with a length of 6mm OD nylon pipe attached which can then be split via a manifold block (which we can also supply - see our other listings).

The throttle bodies themselves are manufactured by Jenvey and their throttle linkage/cable kit (CLS1) will bolt on using their bracket kit (LBU2) giving you a nice hidden throttle linkage sitting under the manifold. This can be orientated to point the cable towards the front or back (assuming longitudinal installation) of the engine bay.  Jenvey's throttle potentiometers are also a direct fit and can be fitted on either end of the manifold.

Over the years we have built cars for gruelling motorsport events such as the East African Safari Rally as well as reliable ‘daily-drive’ road cars for style-conscious customers clocking up thousands of miles with reliability levels comparable to that of more mainstream new vehicles. The usual fly in the ointment of an otherwise perfectly executed build is a part failure. In this modern era of easily accessible manufacture from the Far East it is very difficult to determine the quality of a part before you actually hand over your cash. There are cheaply made parts being sold cheaply and there are cheaply made parts being sold at much higher prices in the hope this will be perceived as a sign of quality. Often these cheaply made parts do their job just fine, but just as often they are fit only for the bin! Likewise quite a number of supposedly good quality, and expensive parts are actually no better than the cheap ones – there really is no way to know other than by trial and error, and thankfully we’ve done that so you don’t have to!

We have no plans to become a vast, faceless warehouse full of parts, but aim to offer a 'go-to' range of tried and tested parts to the car builder who wants quality while still keeping costs sensible.

Why don't you include shipping in your prices?

Because our postage costs include combined shipping discounts, so when you purchase multiple items the 'all-in' cost may well be cheaper than a seller who's individual item prices (including postage) are actually lower.
