This is a Verity Maxlume light made in Birmingham made in cast aluminium painted in a warship grey.

It is made for the Ministry of Defence for the armed services. I think although it is a guess it was for the Navy for one of its ships or Submarine. I say Submarine because it does have a clear glass and a red plastic lense so you could have it clear or red spotlight.

I know Submarines choose red light in their control room to let the eyes adapt to the daylight. I am open to suggestions though.

I don't think this has been used and was never wired up so it does need new wire and connecting to the BC lamp holder. It is a very robust and strong unit and judging by the rubber seals and strong stainless steel wing nut fasteners could be used inside and out.

This is a strong functional spotlight, which can be positioned at any angle due to the industrial wing nut fasteners.

It may be not everyone's taste but in the right setting it's an interior designers dream light.
