Item:293087376362Very Nice Small Size Gilt French Four Glass ClockA very nice small size gilt French 'Four Glass' clock. This clock has what looks like a gilt brass or gilt bronze ormolu case in good condition with only a few minor scratches worth mentioning (see photos). Two glass panels are missing and the other two have edging chips. The French 8 day bell striking movement looks slightly off centre so some adjustment needed. The dial is enamel and has fine hairline cracks but both hands are present and good. When hands are manually rotated it strikes as it should at one at half past the hour then twice at two etc. The back of the movement has '2831' and 'J.D BTE SGDG', the number is replicated on the bezel so they are original. Both springs are good and fully wound but movement needs a new suspension. the pendulum is present and in good condition. Measures 8.5in tall x 5in wide inc bracket & 4in deep. Sold as seen not working for parts/restoration only with no returns.
