Item:133361798489REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE! Very Rare 12 Tune musical clock by Windmills of London c1730. A beautiful and rare 12 tune musical longcase by Windmills of London. The 13"arch dial is well engraved, made for the middle East Market. There are holes on rear of dial where I presume it had an English chapter ring/seconds made at time and changed not long after for the middle East. Neales book describes 2 12tune longcase by Windmills and this one has the same tunes. 1) A Rigadoon 2)The happy clow 3)The Spanish jigg 4)A minuet No 12 5)The three generals health's 6)Sweet is our blessing 7)The Rumer 8)Granadiers march 9)A young virgin of 15 10Let the soldiers rejoice 11)The milking paile 12)The beautiful phillis Huge movement as you would expect chiming on 12 bells and 24 hammers. Also strikes the hours on a single bell and half hour strike too. Musical side needs setting up/small adjustment to play all tunes. All pins on barrel look good and straight. 7 pillars centre latched. The case is of mahogany construction and c1820 but looks like its been in it for a very long time. Arch at top of hood can detach to make it a little smaller. X3 weights, pendulum and key. 104" tall 96" with arch removed( a few chips etc to arch) I'm far from an expert but I'll try and answer any questions, also viewings welcome. Delivery is free within United Kingdom only. Sizeing my collection down hence my clocks for sale. Many thanks for looking. Low buy it now or best offer. On 15-Mar-20 at 22:02:46 GMT, seller added the following information: For people who are asking if I'd sell movement, weights and pendulum only, I would.
