Item:153457598181 GENTS PUL-SYN-ETIC WALL CLOCK Beautiful example of the iconic cast iron factory wall clock made in England by Gents of Leicester. c.1930 Exact origin unknown, but almost certainly from an industrial environment, this clock has a solid cast iron construction, steel bezel and glass lens. Dial features roman numerals with the Pul-Syn-Etic Electric branding. The original hands now run on a high torque Quartz movement for modern convenience. Gents’ of Leicester, was established in Leicester, England, in 1872 by John Thomas Gent. For over a century, the company was a well known manufacturer of electrical equipment, in particular its electric clocks, which were used in public buildings and railway stations all over the world.
