This fabulous vintage Moore & Wright Toolmakers cabinet model No 1007, has had one previous owner from new as the gentleman i purchased it from had had it from new whilst serving his apprenticeship around 55 years ago.
It obviously does have some wear as it has been in use for 55 years but is still in great condition and still has the original handle which unusually for these cabinets isn't in to bad a condition itself and still supports the cabinet in transit and it does have all of the original knobs on the drawers which are still lined with the original beige and it is supplied with 1 original key that does still lock the cabinet.
Its condition is as found and no attempt has been made to clean or tart it up.
Lovely finger joints around the frame all in great shape and nice and tight.
The wood appears to be Oak.
The drawers are all in good condition and the felt that lines the drawers is showing wear in places but there are plenty of photo's so you can judge for yourself its what i think is lovely condition.
The Cabinet measures 43cm / 17" wide, 22cm / 8½" deep and 29cm / 11¼" high.
This English made tool chest is around 55 years old and already has had one lifetime of engineering usage and hopefully will get to be used for another 55+ years to come.
The chest will suit Engineers looking for somewhere to house their equipment or someone who likes to tinker and bring things back to life or will sit in a Classic car workshop comfortably as it is, or artists, needleworkers and any crafts person for storing there equipment.
Will also make a fabulous present for any Engineer worth his salt!!
Local collection preferred ( from B74 3HP ) and is most welcome but can and will post for £15 which i know may seem a bit high but is there to cover the postage and insurance costs.
