In good, slightly used condition with light handling wear. Complete deck with 32 cards. About this type of playing cards: The Hungarian card, also known as the William Tell card, is a 32- or 36-card type of card, the most well-known Hungarian card game tool, invented in 1836 by the Pest card painter József Schneider, based on Friedrich Schiller's highly successful play William Tell, published in 1804. It is the most common type of playing card in Hungary and the German-speaking areas, and the most popular type of playing card after the French card in a large part of Europe, but most of the most popular card games in the world are played with the latter and not with Hungarian cards. In Hungary, the colors of the card and the card images of the cards have changed several times throughout its history. The pack of 32[6] or 36 cards, which is also used in Hungary, Austria, Transylvania, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia and South Tyrol and depicts the characters of the Swiss War of Independence, is called a Hungarian card among Hungarians. Another name is the Tell card, which has been called in four different ways (Double German, Helvetic German, "Doppeldeutsche", Four Seasons). In the English language literature, among card historians, it is called the Tell or Seasons Pattern. One of the main characteristics of the Hungarian card is the allegories of the seasons on the ace cards of each suit, and on the 8 lower and upper cards, the figures of the medieval freedom struggle of the Swiss cantons, the characters of the Tell mythology, can be seen in mirror image. This card is called a Hungarian card only by its users in Hungary, in Austria it is called a double-headed or double German, because of the mirror image arrangement of the German colors and Tell-motif cards. ------------- Comes in professional packaging.
