A pair of vintage shoe or boot lasts. With clear patina of age and signs of use. Made of dark wood with metal sole plates a central pin/ hinge below Vent cut.
9 is stamped into both pieces between the toe area and the cone.
3534 is stamped into the wood on both of the lasts at the side of the ankle below top plate - see photo number 6.
Other letters and numbers are stamped on the side of the right foot - see photo number 7.
The letter D is stamped on the side of the left foot.
The letter L is stamped on the side of the right foot.
There are signs of wear and tear were the cobbler has dented and scratched the wood and there are holes were tacks and pins have been used. See photograph number 5.
The wood is worn and knocked above the Vent Cut on both feet. See photograph Number 2.
There is a small piece of leather tacked onto the top plate of both lasts.
Both have holes where a knob was once fitted.
