You are bidding on an Antique Cast Iron & Brass French No:6 Leatherworking Fly Press by DAUDE of Paris in good clean used condition.

This very well presented tool is approx 3200mm tall with base of 140mm x 65mm to include the 4 undamaged mounting lugs.

Has a nice deep throat of approx 50mm to allow access to the work.

Takes standard dies. One alloy bottom die is present to provide a pattern; top holder is spring loaded and is threaded.

Barely any wear present to the spindle and operation is good.

Nice decorative casting as shown with excellent makers marks to the main casting.

A superb addition to any leather workshop or collection.

Weight is 1.4kg before safe packaging.

Royal Mail Standard Small Parcels are only covered for loss to a limit of £20 GBP; items above this amount up to a limit of £50 GBP must be sent Signed For or Tracked in order to be properly covered; above this amount there are extra charges as well. Full cover is in our opinion prudent for both the buyers and sellers mutual protection. There is no ‘partial compensation’ for under insured items. SF costs approx. £5.30 extra pro rata.

We are happy to ship without Signed For at buyers own risk and will require consent for this by email before shipping.

We will always obtain a written Proof of Posting Slip at this end but this is not trackable.

International buyers should be aware that any item that exceeds the 2kg Small Airmail Packet weight limit will be SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive to ship and they should take care to investigate these costs BEFORE bidding.
