THIS LISTING IS FOR AN NICE ANTIQUE SALESMAN'S SAMPLE OR CHILD'S MINIATURE THREE DRAWER CHEST, c. 1875-1900. THIS CHEST IS A FUCTIONAL HAND MADE MODEL OF A WORKING CHEST OF DRAWERS. WALNUT WITH ROUND BRASS/BRONZE PULLS WHICH APPEAR TO BE ORIGINAL. DRAWERS ARE OF VERY THICK WOOD CONSTRUCTION AND CHEST HAS A CURVED LOWER FRONT. THERE ARE INLAID BRASS KEY HOLES (NO KEY). THE BOTTOM THREE WIDE DRAWERS HAVE ROUND WOODEN KNOBS AND THE TOP TWO DRAWERS HAVE LARGER, DIFFERENTLY SHAPED KNOBS WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THIS IS A VERY HEAVY, WELL CONSTRUCTED SMALL CHEST. MEASURES 15 1/2" HIGH, 16" WIDE AND 6 3/4" DEEP. THIS IS A NICE MINIATURE CHEST AND IN GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. THERE IS MINOR STAINING ON THE TOP AND THERE IS A COLOR DIFFERENCE WHERE THE TOP WAS ATTACHED (DOWELS ?). ALSO, THE SECOND WIDE DRAWER HAS DAMAGE ON ONE FRONT SIDE. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS.
