Thi s item is a Real Photographic postcard showing The D`Oyly Carte Opera Company, in a scene from Act 1 of the Gilbert & Sullivan Opera "The Yeomen of The Guard".
The scene features the duet "I Have a song to sing O" between Elsie Maynard and Jack Point
I think it was possibly taken during the 1906 revival of the opera at the Savoy Theatre.
The Postcard is one of the Play Pictorial series published by Raphael Tuck and is numbered T 868.
The postcard has been written on and posted.

Please let us know if you would like to be added to a mailing list, to be informed of all or specific items from John’s collection.
