Complete with two weights, pendulum, winder and case key. This is reflected in the price. Early 19th Century longcase clock in crossbanded oak and mahogany. Eight day movement striking on a bell. The 35cm square painted dial is with black Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds and date dials. Inscribed 'N Dumvile Stockport. The hood is with swan necked pediments with brass rosettes also two brass ball and spire finials and one brass ball and eagle finial. Height is 216cm, overall width 58cm and depth 25cm. Complete with two weights, pendulum, winder and case key. As far as can be determined all parts are original and in good working order. Some repairs to the woodwork have been carried out which is normal for a clock approximately two hundred years old. (mainly cracks to one swan necked pediment and bottom front panel). This is reflected in the price.NOTE. Nathaniel Dumville I & II are recorded father and son clockmakers working in Stockport in the early part of the 19th Century.
