Seller: saddlemountain (2,313) 100%, Location: Newark, Delaware, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 174070674551 Original Antique (1908-1920) AMERICAN CUCKOO CLOCK CO. Mission-Style Clock Watch the Video: https://youtu.be/McOwRPvgVE This rare cuckoo clock was sold 1908-1920 by the American Cuckoo Clock Co. in Philadelphia. It has brass movement and two bellows for the cuckoo. It was handcrafted in the Black Forest area of Germany specifically for American Cuckoo Clock Co. (signed on the dial). Your clock is housed in a Mission-style case with the original trapezoid weights, which are shaped that way to mirror the wooden columns of the clock case. The clock is 100% original except for the pendulum. (As show in the photos, it was custom-made specifically to resemble the original pendulum for this clock, by a carver who specializes in making cuckoo clock pendulums.)The original label on the back panel indicates this clock is Style #305 (made 1908-1920), and has specific directions for hanging and usage. The clock boasts its original brass dial with black numerals and the original wooden cuckoo bird. I believe the surface on the clock case is original as well, though I cannot guarantee it. The case (oak, I believe) measures approx. 13" tall (not including the weights or pendulum) by 9" wide x 5.5" deep. The brass clock face is 5" in diameter, and each weight measures approx. 7" tall. Watch the Video: https://youtu.be/McOwRPvgVE[ CONDITION ... PLEASE READ ] - Beautiful antique condition -- from a non-smoking environment.- All original (I believe) except for the pendulum, which is a custom-carved replacement to match the original one for this clock. Original surface (I believe), including on the dial. The cuckoo is original and shows some age. - As pictured, both bellows for the cuckoo's chirps work fine, but you only hear one chirp in the video because one of the two thin wires is missing, which connects the mechanism to the bellow. This should be quite easy to remedy.- The clock runs, and the cuckoo works correctly, as shown in the video. However, as with any used antique clock, this one will need a visit to the clock repair before you press it into service. Specifically:1. Routine cleaning and adjustment2. Replace the wire to the bellows, as mentioned above3. The clock ticks and the hands run, but when the minute hand reaches the bottom (number "6") it tends to stay in that position until you manually move it back to the top ("12"). So, something is slipping and needs attention. The clock repair will need to take care of that for you. The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don't we all!?) It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that's not perfect and may need touch-up.
