This pair of vintage shoe trees from A Jones & Sons Bootmakers is in PRE-OWNED but VERY GOOD condition showing no signs of damage and light cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. A Jones & Sons Bootmakers Ltd has a rich history stretching back to 1857 when Alfred and Emma Jones opened a footwear shop in Bayswater, London.  Fast forward to 1955 and the business joined Church & Co where it took the branding "Jones Bootmaker" and has remained a footwear manufacturer of repute ever since. Due to the name and branding, we can be sure that these shoe trees pre-date the 1955 re-brand, however their exact age remains a mystery.  The best we can say is that due to the fact they are made from aluminium, they either pre-date WWII enough that they were not requisitioned, or they were produced some time after WWII where metals were not in such heavy demand for the war effort. Whenever they were produced, they were made to last (no pun intended!) and their quality construction will ensure reliable service for many years to come. Highly Recommended.
