Seller: jaqcob249 (325) 100%, Location: Great Yarmouth, Ships to: GB, US, AU, Item: 113358343139 Hello and welcome to my auction for my W114 Mercedes Lowrider relisted due to a keyboard warrior timewasting idiot YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE only bid if you intend to complete the purchase she within 7 days of the end of auction cash on collectiongenuine ebayers onlyover 15000 views and 600 watchers last time I really do not want to sell this i thought i would have her forever but unfortunately she has to go, i purchased this car about 6 years ago as a 280E petrol and then began modification works. The car had been garaged for 15 years and not started, the engine and gear box was removed and a donor vehicle was purchased in the shape of a C class 1999/ 2000 model, 220 CDI Auto.An engine and gear box were fitted and then the head scratching began. The modern engine ECU requires signals such as steering wheel angle sensors, wheel speed sensors, ABS sensors etc. However i have had the ECU rewritten so that it no longer requires these (engine has been chipped to 170 BHP)The gear box has a stand alone TCU ( traction control unit) because the mecedes item could not be made to work. Both engine ECU and gear box TCU are accessible via laptop from inside of the car .landrover td5 intercooler. The prop shaft was modified in length and then fusion welded and speed sensor fitted. C-Class 220 front bakes were fitted onto modified stub axles.Stainless steel after market fuel tank with inbuilt swirl pot was made and located in the boot.SuspensionI have fitted an accuair e-level suspension system which runs an air bag in each corner and a electric sensor in each corner which picks up the height of each corner and relays it to an ECU in the boot which is where the twin compressors air tank and battery are located. This system allows yo to have 3 pre-set ride heights as well as operating each corner independantly if required. There is not a kit available for this vehicle so a heavily modified custom front sub frame was made to accept the air bags.InteriorThe interior is pretty much standard including brand new carpet set imported from Germany and fitted last year. However the speedo on the 280E is cable driven and on the 220 CDI requires a wheel speed sensor, so to get around this issue i have fitted a satelite hot start up electronic speedo from speed hut USA.BodyworkFront panel is from a Ford 100E with home made Pagoda style front grill.Rear lights i made from fibre glass with Landrover LED lights recessed completed with mercedes badges.Rear fuel cap was done away with ( as tank now fills from inside of boot).VW camper rear arches were shortened and fitted and front of bonnet was stretched a couple of inches to match new front panel.Car was painted in maple yellow (606G) but i did not like the shiny look as it looked like it was made from plastic. So i used the vehicle for a wedding and then set about returning the patina with 1200 wet and dry for that well used look. The car is also fitted with claxon horn as well as a 12 volt ww2 air raid siren.Wheels are 16 inch VW T25 synchro wheels with all of the holes welded up filled, primered and painted to look smooth.the interior clock doesnt work neither does the fuel gauge (new tank sender fitted)however it uses so little fuel i keep the tank full which gives you more than 500miles per fill it must be returning at least 50-55mpgIf the car is driven in anger it is possible for the gear box to drop down 1 gear to many (standard engine bhp was 125) and my intentions were to replace this with the larger AMG 500 gear box before i increased the power any more. However driven under normal conditions it creates no problem.I have an incredibly intelligent friend in Dereham who owns his own MB garage who has helped me with all the problems i have come across and will pass his number onto the winning bidder if they are laptop/ECU non users. This car owes me in excess of 12000 pound, there is no buy it now price and the highest bidder wins genuine bidders only.No trades, no swops and cash on collection only within 7 days of auction ending.
