Seller: 6wynne (229) 100%, Location: wirral, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 114226916751 Here is a lovely original example of the BMW K75, with very low mileage. Anyone familiar with K-series bikes will know they’re capable of extraordinarily high mileages (100,000+ is quite common), meaning this example (having covered less than 18,000 miles) is barely run-in. I have not ridden this bike since I purchased it 1n 2018 as I have another bike to commute on. Historic past This bike also has an interesting history: Its original lady owner bought the bike after returning from a 57,000 mile round the world trip (with her then partner) on two BMW boxer twins. Their marathon adventure briefly won the pair a place in the Guinness Book of Records; however, it was beaten shortly after by a new record holder. For its first journey, she rode this K75 from her home in New York to Alaska, before heading south to San Francisco. On its return to New York the bike was put into storage. After moving to England to live, she later imported to the bike to the UK (in 2004). Thereafter it was used sparingly until the bike was purchased by its second owner (in 2016), who at 6ft 5in, found the bike too small and sold it to a mature enthusiast who enjoyed it for a year before selling it in 2018. The bike has again been in storage since, and therefore it has not increased its mileage. In total it has covered 28,800km - the equivalent of just under 18,000 miles. There is a letter from the original owner to verify the mileage and history, etc. NOTE: USA motorcycles normally have mph speedometers; however, thinking she would be doing more travelling abroad with the K75, the original owner asked the dealer (Amol Motorcycles of New Jersey) to install a kmph speedometer. A set of MPH gauges were supplied by the previous owner, but never fitted. As you'd expect from a 27-year-old motorcycle, it has some age-related marks and imperfections, but nothing that significantly detracts from its overall tidy condition. There's some paint missing from the engine crash-bars, a couple of splits/cracks in the Corbin seat and a small crack on the side of the fairing (which is barely noticeable and could easily be repaired). The drive shaft splines were checked when new tyres were fitted (in August 2017). Everything on the bike works as it should - lights, Condition: Used, Condition: this is a lovely bike need to be seen - feel free to come and have a look, Model: k750, Colour: Black, Country/Region of Manufacture: Germany, Start Type: Electric start, Gears: Five-speed manual, MOT Expiry Date: 201800, Fuel: Petrol, Year: 1992, Manufacturer: Bmw, Engine Size: 750, Transmission: Manual
