Seller: p.o.girly (1,052) 100%, Location: East Sussex, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 174193121278 we are happy to accept payment by cheque or bank transfer a fine and very rare example of a tudric art nouveau pewter biscuit barrel, it was produced in the art nouveau jugendstil secessionist era of around 1910 at the same time as the german firms of wmf,kayserzinn and orivit were producing similar pieces of art nouveau pewter, made by William Haselers of Birmingham for the liberty & co tudric pewter ware range,fully marked to the base with the design number 01070 dating to around 1910, a nice and extremely rare piece, it is easily recognisable as coming from the iconic designs of archibald knox and others,the pewter is a gently polished condition with its unusual textured finish giving it a very arts & crafts feel , lifting the lid reveals a clean interior free from corrosion or pitting, it measures 6.25" tall and 5" in diameter so a fine and impressive display piece, the overall condition is superb with only minor signs of age and usage commensurate of a functional piece that is well over 100 years old,if you require any further information,please send an e-mail and I will get back to you.
