Antique, Victorian, (1840 -1880s), electro plated nickelsilver, E.P.N.S., on brass, lady’s skirt lifter which has a spring-loaded clipthat can be pressed opened and closes automatically at one end and a U-shapeclip at the other and connected to each other by a chain. The spring-loadedclip has an embossed decoration type of the early Victorian era.

This skirt lifter is 200 mm., long, the spring-loaded clipis 40 mm., long. and 20 mm., wide, the U- shaped clip is 50 mm., long and 15mm., at the widest point. The chain is 45 mm., long. The skirt lifter completeweighs 28 grams.
