Seller: p.o.girly (1,052) 100%, Location: East Sussex, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 174192345907 we are happy to accept payment by cheque or bank transfer an extremely fine and rare early example of a tudric art nouveau pewter & enamel biscuit box, it was produced in the art nouveau jugendstil secessionist era of around 1903 at the same time as the german firms of wmf,kayserzinn and orivit were producing similar pieces of art nouveau pewter, made by William Haselers of Birmingham for the liberty & co tudric pewter ware range,fully marked to the base with the design number 0194 plus the coveted made by liberty & co,this box is dating to around 1903 so a nice and extremely early piece, it is easily recognisable as coming from the iconic designs of archibald knox and others,the pewter is a gently polished condition with absolutely no loss of definition to the stylised knox design and the eight enamel roundels are all in good order, lifting the lid reveals a clean interior free from corrosion or pitting, it measures 4.5" x 4.5" x 4.5" high, the overall condition is superb with only minor signs of age and usage commensurate of a functional piece that is well over 100 years old,if you require any further information,please send an e-mail and I will get back to you.
