1898 SILVER FUSEE CHRONOGRAPH CENTRE SECOND POCKET WATCH RICHARDSON COVENTRY

Antique Circa 1898 silver cased fusee Chronograph centre second pocket watch in good working order. The dial is white enamel with black coloured Roman numerals and gold coloured hands with centre sweep hand and marked Centre Second Chronograph. The movement is a fully jewelled chain driven fusee with a lever escapement, clean with a good strong tick keeping good time and marked Manuf’d in Coventry by Ja’s Richardson & Son Trade Mark Registered JW Reeley & Sons London & Liverpool Established 1790 and the number 80243. To stop and start the centre second hand is done by sliding the small button on the side of the case up or down and it is working well.  The back covers are marked to the inside with Chester silver hallmarks for 1898 and the makers mark JR. The dial and dial glass are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks apart from a very faint small hairline and an old repair to the bottom of the dial with a little scratching to the dial glass. The case is clean and bright and has worn as to its age with all the covers closing nice and tight. It Measures a big chunky 57mm excluding crown.
