It used to be in my bedroom, but I moved it to the library, so the photos show different backgrounds. It’s solid oak; It was bought in 1994 from Preston Antiques: The classical format for this era and big chests: 2 drawers over three. The top is in need of some restauration, to bring it back to former glory, for, as it often happens to oak so old, the top presents a split in the middle, along the length,(it was bought like that), and the joint between the two oak planks on the sides has widened a little. Probably French polished only on the top, where a patch has lost the polish; the rest was probably wax-polished. It has the original brass handles on the drawers. It measures approximately as follows:
Height: 129 cm
Length: 155 cm
Width: 51 cm
The three long drawers are different in height; the bottom one is the deepest.
