Update as of March 13, 2017 : Please note that I will post worldwide. However, please also note that I have had to change my international shipping policy as the odd item has gone astray. As I understand it, ebay's policy is that I have to pay a refund in full to the buyer and I'm afraid that I find it difficult to swallow that expense. Not only do I have to refund the money, I now have nothing to show for my trouble (and I believe PayPal actually charges a Transaction Fee for the refund?). As may be appreciated some of the items I am selling are very scarce, because of their age or because they are limited editions, etc., and many are also quite valuable.

My international policy is as follows (please also review the “Additional checkout instructions”, on the listing details, which explain what the postage amount shown is based upon):

1.        For a large and/or high value package I will generally invoice with a “Signed & Tracked” postage cost.

2.       For a small and/or low value package I will generally invoice with International Standard postage cost (unless signed and tracked is requested of course ).

In the event of a package going missing:

·          Option 1 [ above ] used – the maximum refund issued will be that paid out by the postal provider (I use Royal Mail most of the time).

·          Option 2 [above ] used – no refund will be paid, although I will ascertain from Royal Mail where the parcel disappeared. That is to say, a ‘proof of postage’ receipt is given to me, but this is only of any use whilst it is in the hands of the Royal Mail. After it is handed over to the postal service in the country where the customer is domiciled there is nothing further that can be done.

If a customer wishes to use Option 2 on a high value package then this rule will remain true and I will only agree to this method if I get written confirmation of acceptance.

If you know of an alternative method of postage which you would prefer me to use I am always happy to listen….just message me. I will try to be as flexible and accommodating as I can. Any questions on the above, or anything to do with my listings, please contact me. I am generally available Monday through Friday and will answer soonest.

Thank you for your attention.

To Prospective Buyers: A number of customers have asked whether I will consider combining postage to save money for them.  I am always happy to do multiple purchases with combined postage. The important thing is to communicate your intentions so we can agree on the protocol for your specific situation. I have various sizes of cardboard and mail-lite envelopes and a couple of different size of cardboard boxes, the larger one being double-walled.

Please know that I am a private seller listing my book collection from over 50 years and of some 8 thousand+ items. (Unfortunately we need the space and I want to get as many of them as I can to good homes before “shucking off the mortal coil”….as they say). The books and magazines are the genuine article as described in the listings and I try to be as detailed as I can with regard to the condition of each item (I err on the side of caution). I am happy to answer any questions and will answer honestly and to the best of my ability.

Thank you for your attention and happy bidding.

  • Condition: Used
  • Condition: Condition is very good+. Covers are untrimmed and therefore the edges suffer from chips, cuts, nicks and creases (anything extreme will be mentioned separately). Front - small tear at bottom spine edge; a little buffing over staples pressing through. Spine - near 100% intact with some rubbing to head & foot (there is a small crack on the year which may have been glued down?); light buffing to edges. Back is fine. Inside - staples are clean; pages (146) are clean and lightly tanned. Excellent copy.
