The detail is really amazing, the muscle tone, face, mane and the horse hair look incredible.
It is in really excellent condition, it has two small casting cracks on the leg by the British hallmarks but they do not cause a problem at all as they are only surface cracks(see pictures).
It is fully hallmarked on the side of the front right side leg with the makers "JGP", the lion passant, date letter "h" for 1903, "F" for Foreign import and the lion passant. It has German Hanau marks on its belly which are a pair of crossed keys which denotes liegnitz city which is now in Poland plus another mark.
The horse sits on a black stone base which is virtually perfect.
It is approx. 11.7 cm long and 11.5 cm high including the base.
It weighs a substantial 363.0 grams approx. including the base.
Look at the pictures to see the beautiful quality of this item, it is one of the nicest I have come across.
